Questions

Common questions

How long should a title tag be?
Google cuts titles by pixel width, not by character count. On desktop that is roughly 580 pixels, which is usually 50 to 60 characters. The SERP preview measures your exact title so you can see whether it fits.
Why does Google show a different description from mine?
Google rewrites descriptions when it thinks another part of the page answers the search better, or when yours is missing or too short. A clear, specific description of 120 to 155 characters gets used most often.
Will schema markup get me rich results?
Valid schema makes your page eligible, but Google decides whether to show a rich result. FAQ rich results are now mostly limited to government and health sites; product, review, breadcrumb and local business markup are still widely shown.
Should I block AI crawlers in robots.txt?
That is a business decision. Blocking crawlers such as GPTBot, ClaudeBot or Google-Extended stops them using your content for AI training. It does not remove you from Google Search results.
Is this a replacement for an SEO plugin?
No. Plugins like Yoast or Rank Math manage tags across a whole WordPress site. These tools are for checking and writing individual pages, landing pages, static sites and client work.
